"Future of Education and Economic Prospects of Uzbekistan"

On May 25, 2024, the conference organized by ISFT focused on the future of education and the current economic prospects of Uzbekistan continued. The official part included presentations and discussions on interdisciplinary research, inclusivity in education, and the role of female leaders. In the second half of the day, participants focused on current economic issues and the prospects for sustainable growth.

The official part of the conference featured presentations and discussions on the future of education. Elizabeth Solidey from Spain, broadcasting from Barcelona via video conferencing from the School of Management, discussed interdisciplinary research and collaboration in higher education. Professor Azmi bin Mohammed from Malaysia emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the education of the future, while Professor Osman Gultekin from Istanbul Aydin University highlighted the role of education in national development.

Professor Alexey Radyuk from the Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk discussed cooperation with Uzbek universities in the context of Belarusian-Uzbek partnership. Rohana Binti Yusuf from UCSI University in Malaysia raised issues regarding the role of female leaders in shaping the future of higher education.

In the second half of the day, participants focused on current economic issues. Professor Ikrom Nasimov from Samarkand State University named after Alisher Navoi presented the main directions for transitioning to a green economy and sustainable development. Professor Arindam Banik discussed the water issues of the Aral Sea and their impact on life in Central Asia.

Professor Bekzod Alimov from Tashkent International Westminster University highlighted the socio-economic consequences of domestic violence against women, while Professor Olmos Ochilov from Tashkent State Economic University discussed investments in human capital. Uchkun Abduganiev from Tashkent State Economic University presented ways to assess the level of the shadow economy and reduce its scale in the digital economy.

The final sector focused on development economics and inclusive financing. Tulkun Chuliev, Senior Lecturer at ISFT, emphasized the new priorities of Uzbekistan's migration policy, while Professor Nargiza Alimukhamedova examined the crisis in the non-banking microfinance sector. The event concluded with discussions on the prospects for sustainable growth and the presentation of certificates and letters of appreciation.

These two days of the conference served as an important stage for knowledge and experience exchange, as well as for discussing current issues and development prospects for the new Uzbekistan.
