
ISFT Samarkand Branch and IIT Bombay: A New Chapter in International Cooperation
ISFT Institute is expanding its international academic partnerships and educational cooperation through new initiatives. At the initiative of the International Cooperation Department, meetings were held to explore cooperation opportunities with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), one of India’s prominent technical higher education institutions.
The initial discussions took place at the Tashkent Campus, followed by a meeting at the ISFT Samarkand Campus. The meetings focused on the academic potential of both institutions, international experience, and new educational opportunities for students.
The parties discussed cooperation in the following areas:
student exchange and academic mobility;
Summer School and Winter School programs;
short-term international educational programs;
opportunities for Double Degree programs;
academic and professional development programs for faculty members;
research and academic cooperation;
international conferences, seminars, and academic events.
The meetings were attended by Professor Dani and Dr. Kumar, a representative of IIT Bombay. ISFT Institute was represented by A. Alisherov, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Z. Madraimov, Deputy Director of the Samarkand Campus for Finance and Economic Affairs.
The parties identified the next steps for turning the agreed areas of cooperation into practical projects and formalizing future cooperation agreements.
This meeting represents an important step toward expanding international academic cooperation and creating new opportunities for ISFT Samarkand Branch students and faculty to participate in international educational programs, academic mobility, research, and knowledge exchange.
